MINIMUM DIVING QUALIFICATION – Advanced Open Water Diver
26th October, 1942, the President Coolidge steamed into two friendly mines off the US base in Luganville, Vanuatu. All but 2 troops made it off the vessel before she slipped beneath the waves.
She now lies with her bow touching 20m and her long hull reaching away to nearly 70m at the stern.
Her holds still have amazing relics of WWII - from jeeps to medical supplies.
This trip does require divers to have minimum qualification of Advanced Open Water to ensure divers have acces to the uppermost holds of this amazing shipwreck.
Your trip guide also recommends qualification in Deep and Wreck Diver training to allow you to penetrate the wreck with competence, ensuring you, your buddy and your dive teams best safety and enjoyment.
